This study aims to reveal the preservice teachers’ attitudes towards the course of Turkish Education History and to analyze whether these attitudes vary according to several variables (gender, department, GPA, mother’s educational status, father’s educational status, family income status, area of residence before university). Document review technique was used in the research. The study group of the research consisted of a total of 307 preservice teachers, including 189 female and 118 male preservice teachers studying at various departments of a state university in the 2018-2019 academic year. During the research, necessary permissions were obtained in order to use “Turkish Education History Attitude Scale” as a data collection tool, which was developed by Kamer and Şimşek (2016) with a view to identifying opinions of preservice teachers on Turkish education history course. Statistical software was used in the analysis of the data. When the research results were evaluated, it was seen that the attitudes of preservice teachers towards Turkish Education History course was at a medium level and their attitudes towards the course were not correlated with the variables of gender, educational status of mother-father, family income status and GPA. However, it would be safe to say that significant correlation was observed between the participants’ attitudes and the variables of area of residence before the university and department.
