The purpose of the current study is to determine the relationship between pre-service physical education and science teachers’ social physical anxiety levels and levels of contentment with their body image. One of the descriptive survey models, relational survey model was used in the current study. The study group of the current research was determined by using the purposive sampling method and is comprised of 400 (131 females and 269 males) 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students attending the Faculties of Sports Sciences at Sakarya University and Kocaeli University in 2016-2017 academic year. In the study, Demographic Features Information Form, Physical Anxiety Inventory (SFKE) and the Scale of Contentment with the Parts and Characteristics of the Body (BİHÖ) were employed to collect data. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS 21 program package. At the end of the study, it was concluded that the pre-service teachers’ social physical anxiety level is low; level of contentment with their body image is medium and there is a negative and moderate relationship between their social physical anxieties and contentment with their body image.
